CSBA launches weekly
news digest
The California School Boards
Association’s communications team is now producing
a weekly e-mail news digest of the stories produced
for the CSBA Web site. Each e-newsletter contains the
lead paragraph of 3-4 stories and a live link to the
story on the Web site. CSBA would like to make their
e-newsletter available to CalSPRA members, at no charge,
and so we’re pleased to pass on the invitation
to you.
CSBA’s Nov. 21 e-newsletter
featured stories about Gov. Schwarzenegger’s first
days in office, California’s showing on NAEP, the
Phase II AYP report, and a Q&A with CSU Sacramento
President Alexander Gonzalez.

Sacramento Summit
offers valuable learning experience
Registration is currently
underway for CalSPRA’s
Sacramento Summit. The two-day conference will feature
a meeting with the Secretary of Education and the governor’s
press secretary/communication director, lunch with State
Superintendent Jack O’Connell, updates on API,
NCLB and legislative actions affecting K-12 education,
and an update on the State’s budget from School
Services. Additional presentations will address important
issues facing public education as we enter 2004.
